METALLICA: Moscow Shows Expected To Sell Out

April 23, 2010

According to RIA Novosti, METALLICA is expected to perform in front of full houses during their two concerts in Moscow over this weekend, the concert organizers said.

"This band enjoys unprecedented success in Russia. All tickets are sold out for the first concert and some are left for the second one but we believe that after the first successful concert all tickets will be sold out for the other," a spokeswoman for SAV Entertainment and Russian Show-Centre said.

METALLICA's concerts were under threat of being cancelled due to the air traffic chaos in Europe caused by the eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland. However, METALLICA were already in Oslo on their World Magnetic Tour when the eruption began.

They travelled in Europe either by car or train, having performed in Vilnius on Tuesday and Wednesday and will now appear at Moscow's Olimpiisky Sports Complex on Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25.
